The Madonna Inn
I’ve been back at work since August, explaining why I vanished from blogging for a minute there, but by some miracle, I got a week off at the beginning of the month, so I decided to take the opportunity to have a little romantic getaway. So in a spur of the moment decision, I booked a room at the Madonna Inn and dragged Drake along with me almost exclusively as my personal photographer. It has always been a dream of mine to stay at this kitschy pink paradise, and it lived up to every expectation I had.
The Madonna Inn is a little resort off the highway in San Luis Obispo with 110 uniquely designed rooms, each with its own charm. I got to sit in a pink restaurant and eat pink cake. We played tennis on a perfect pink and blue tennis court. I just felt like the happiest girl in the world the entire time. I’m on a budget, so we didn’t get to splurge on one of the suites, but we can save that for next time when we actually have a special occasion to celebrate.
